Lewis Hamilton, despite an infamous DNF in 2007, has since dominated here, securing more wins than any other driver.

Where to Watch: Grandstand Overview

The Shanghai International Circuit offers a variety of grandstand options—each delivering a distinct perspective on the action—as well as general admission zones for fans who prefer to explore different vantage points.

Grandstand A – Start/Finish Line Views

Located along the main straight, this is the ideal spot for those wanting to witness the race start, pit stops, and podium ceremonies. Seating is covered, with panoramic views from the upper rows and track-level excitement from the lower levels. Multiple giant video screens ensure you won’t miss a second of the race.

Grandstand B – Opening Corner Action

Situated just after Grandstand A and overlooking Turns 1–3, Grandstand B is where first-lap chaos and early overtakes often unfold. Though uncovered, it provides close-up views of technical driving. It’s also within a short walk of the Fanzone and food vendors, making it a fan favorite.

Grandstand H – The Straight-Line Thrill

Positioned at the end of the circuit’s longest straight, this grandstand captures cars approaching at maximum speed, followed by intense braking into the hairpin. The area is covered and equipped with large screens for race updates. From here, you can also catch distant views of the final corner and pit lane entry.

Grandstand K – Hairpin Exit Drama

Directly across from Grandstand H, Grandstand K offers a similar view but from a slightly different angle—closer to the Main Grandstand and amenities. It’s perfect for photographing cars as they accelerate out of the hairpin and into lower-speed technical zones. This section is also covered and screen-equipped for comfortable viewing.
